The Victoria Memorial is a sculpture placed at the centre of the Victoria Square, Montreal. == Overview == The fine statue of the Queen Victoria adorning the Victoria Square is the work of sculptor Marshall Wood (1820–1882), and was unveiled in 1872 by Lord Dufferin, the Governor General of Canada. At the time, the area surrounding Victoria Square was a prestigious neighbourhood. It was a donation from a citizens' committee, by public subscription, on the occasion of Prince Arthur’s visit to Montreal. The bronze was cast by Holbrook & Company, Chelsea, England in 1869. ==Gallery== Image:Victoria Square Historic.jpg|The Victoria Memorial in Victoria Square, 1903 Image:Montréal_-_Square-Victoria,_Victoria,_18-38_-_20050308.jpg 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Victoria Memorial (Montreal)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
